Gabriele Guma - Biography

Ethiopian-born and Italian-raised Gabriele Guma, is a former professional dancer (formerly with Philadanco), teacher, singer, songwriter and musician. He is well known for his previous work as lead guitarist, writer and front man of his own Philly-based rock/soul band GAB GUMA & Tangible Truth, the hip hop group Tangled Thoughts , rock bands GrindCity and Stereotytans.

Gabriele has been focused on his journey as a solo artist in the recent years which coincides with a shift in his life and spiritual walk.

His writing and playing range in styles like blues, funk , soul , reggae, rock and even metal. In 2023, with the release of his rock-blues single "You Don't Know Me Like That" Gabriele has gained a great following which lead to an active performing schedule in the Philadelphia area. At the Sellersville Theater, the Gabriele Guma Band played to enthusiastic and packed audiences as openers for some of the world's best blues artists such as Eric Gales and Joe Louis Walker.

Since January of 2024 Gabriele has been having the honor of playing the National Anthem at the XFINITY MOBILE ARENA

(formerly Wells Fargo Center) for numerous basketball games with the Philadelphia 76ers and other NBA teams , becoming a fan favorite .

As a professional musician, Gabriele has toured as the guitarist for hip hop/soul legend Ms. Lauryn Hill, playing alongside legendary bassist Doug Wimbish. Gabriele has toured as an opening act with Grammy Award-Winning band Living Colour and N.E.R.D. Gabriele also shared the stage with major artists of all genres including Method Man, Nas, Mob Deep, Ciara,Kindred , Take 6, Syleena Johnson, Silvertide, Marc Rizzo (of Soulfly), Carol Riddick, Ledisi, Jessy J. , Nile Rodgers, Cool & The Gang and Bill Jolly to name a few.

Gabriele is a versatile guitarist and songwriter, producer and singer who's guitar style draws influences from Jimi Hendrix to BB King, Joe Satriani to Steve Vai, Carlos Santana to Miles Davis, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Tom Morrello to classical composers into his own signature riffs, unique sound and passionate solos all while displaying a very energetic physical live performance.

With a style that is constantly evolving and the desire to tell his unique story, Gabriele is excited to merge his passions, his cultural influences and various talents into an eclectic and unique expression of love, spirituality and positivity.

Gabriele has been releasing a number of singles , embarking in a spiritual and musical journey with his wife Tiffany who has been his songwriting partner. These songs are part of their music ministry and span over a variety of music styles , displaying Gabriele's and Tiffany's versatility, musicianship and anointing.
